- Too bad for ATARI? Sucks? Why change? There is my question. Why change?
- For German programs that don't follow the standards of every other GUI
- system made?
-
- I never said its good because its has a certain companies name on. And
- that goes for the Falcon too. IMHO, ATARI should have scrapped that beast
- a long time ago, but were not here to debate what "sucks" and what doesn't.
- An acceptable standard means adhering to the standards of other platforms.
-
- Now, I know no one is gonna switch from NeXT or Apple or an Xwindows box
- to an ST, but some people have both, and then there are lots of people
- who will switch from an St to a Mac, and we wouldn't want them to get
- confused now would we? (ok bad joke)
-
- As to the Mac filesystem, I think its one HELL of a lot better than the
- CPM/DOS/TOS/FAT filesystem, although I use a Minix filesystem for most
- things. It is possible to install a Mac filesystem on an ST with MiNT
- if you are so inclined. The ST is compatible with anything then!! Why
- not keep compatibility?
-
- I guess you are in Germany? Or are German? Saying ATARI sucks for
- adapting others standards instead of the useless ^U is overly bias'd IMHO.
